Old school facebook energy?

Is LinkedIn stuck in old school Facebook energy?
We’ve been here before.
Circa 2015 this platform went through a phase where people felt compelled to police behaviour. It was a big no-no to share a holiday photo, a loved-up couple snap or a post that didn't meet a stranger's idea of professional, most often accompanied with this comment 'this isn't Facebook.'
It’s happening again.
What I find peculiar is people stand on a digital soapbox obsessing over em-dashes, style and tone, while simultaneously telling others to be more human.
What that could mean is that 'your output doesn’t match my version of what authentic/human effort looks like.'
That framing ignores so much and is very telling. Not everyone has the same time, education, energy or language skills to produce perfect content unaided. Access is uneven and pretending otherwise is a form of privilege blindness. IMO.
🧡 Please go right ahead and comment using generative AI.
Maybe you’re tired.
Maybe English isn’t your first language.
Maybe you’re navigating a disability.
Maybe you’re trying to find your voice.
Maybe you are learning & exploring.
🧡 It genuinely doesn’t matter to me how you arrive here. I’m just glad you’re here.

TL:DR
LinkedIn hall monitors. Use the tools or don't. Did you know that in 1993 the internet went through 'Eternal September' which was a period where early adopters tried to gate keep the web from all the newbies who didn't know the rules?
